I’m Back – Embracing God’s Grace in Every Season

Hello friends,

I’ve missed connecting with you all, and I want to take a moment to thank you for your grace and patience during my little hiatus since Thanksgiving. Life has been full—filled with both challenges and beautiful blessings—and I’m so grateful for God’s hand in every moment.

First, a little life update: I am now 31 weeks and 4 days pregnant with our third, sweet baby girl! Preparing for her arrival has been a whirlwind of excitement, but it has also come with unexpected challenges. Recently, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and to be honest, it hit me hard. I felt disappointment creeping in, questioning if I had done something wrong or if I had failed in some way. But in the midst of my frustration, God gently reminded me of His grace and faithfulness.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

This diagnosis, while unexpected, has been an opportunity to lean on Him and make positive changes for my health and my family’s well-being. Instead of seeing it as a setback, I’ve embraced it as a chance to be more intentional with our nutrition, choosing healthier, whole, and organic foods that nourish our bodies and honor the temple He has given us. We’ve been focusing on less sugar, fewer processed foods, and more nutritious, God-given ingredients that truly satisfy.

A Shift in Perspective

Through this journey, I’ve realized how much of my identity and self-worth were tied to my ability to “get things right.” Whether it’s in parenting, my health, or everyday tasks, I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself. But God has been teaching me to trust Him with the process and to see every challenge as an opportunity to grow in faith and patience.

One of the sweetest moments in this season has been spending more intentional time with my girls, Magnolia and Laurel. Whether it’s cooking new meals together or reading books about healthy choices, I’m reminded that the small moments we share matter far more than perfection. They’ve been such little encouragers—offering hugs and giggles when I feel overwhelmed, reminding me that God’s grace extends to every part of life, even my health journey.

What’s Next?

As I continue walking this journey, I’m excited to share more about what I’m learning, including:

Encouragement and scripture for those facing health challenges

Gestational diabetes-friendly recipes and meal ideas

Practical tips for healthier, faith-filled living

Simple ways to nourish your family with God’s provision

This season has reminded me that even when we face unexpected changes, God is always working for our good. Whether you’re navigating a health challenge, balancing a busy household, or just trying to make better choices, know that you’re not alone.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” – Proverbs 16:3

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I’m so grateful for your support and encouragement, and I can’t wait to continue sharing and growing together.

Have you ever faced a season of unexpected changes? How has God shown His faithfulness to you through it? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

With love and grace,

Alexa
